Evince is a visual and interactive advice tool, designed to help customers understand their need for insurance, based on their personal level of risk. Evince is a single tool, with multiple scenarios and parts of the experience that are accessed directly by the customer. There is the option to have the support and facilitation of an adviser or have an adviser only.
In New Zealand there is a considerable insurance gap, where the vast majority of people are either uninsured or under insured. This issue comes from both the cultural "she'll be right" mentality, and general scepticism around insurance.
This is where Partners Life comes in.
They are on a mission to close this gap and ensure people are prepared for whatever life throws at them. They do this by providing insurance advice to people, helping them to understand their current financial position, lifestyle, and level of risk.
Meetings with insurance advisers are traditionally taken over the phone. Advisers gather information manually, and then process it in the background before communicating back to the customer.
Partners Life wanted to reframe these calls to focus the conversation on the storytelling around lifestyle, expenses, risk and possible insurance cover, rather than losing the whole time on information gathering.
We worked with Partners Life to develop an advice platform named Evince.
This is a digital product designed to supplement advice calls with customers by gathering their details in advance, and processing this information into a visually rich and informative storytelling experience.
The platform is structured into four main areas:
The changes myself and my team made to the product delivered massive improvements to advice calls, with resoundingly positive feedback from both advisers and customers about the experience feeling more smooth and valuable.
Our work and systematic design system approach has also laid the foundation for the product to be easily white-labelled and licenced to other advice companies.
